You are crazy for re digging a pit Bill. I know from experience.[8D] Once we re dug a pit WE FILLED IN just to look for few piece's of a teal summer tree flask we missed to make it "whole" we found every single piece to put it together. Now thats CrAzY!

We also dug "dug pits" and found a lot they missed. So when the situation calls for it we do it.

Cool stuff from your pits. What were all the embossed bottles? you said whiskeys? Looked like a fun time. That's why we dig privy's,well it is why I dig privy s.[:D]

We got a permission to do next weekend. Can't wait to get in a hole [:D]

Never dug a privy but I can see it would be nice because gluebacks would be possible...as in dumps not....likely never find each piece.

Pretty good score for a dug pit. I met a guy once that told me he had re dug some pits we had dug back in the 70's. One of them had what he thought was a flood layer in it creating a false bottom. They dug through it and found five pontiled Booth and Sedgeswicks gins. Ya never know.

As I am looking at this I think I see a small piece missing in the middle? I might have to re dig it again
