I think it is old Melinda I just need to verify it with higher resolution pictures. I sent you a PM a little bit ago.

Nice score, I really like it! It looks old to me and seems to have some wear, but my opinions regarding this topic don't hold any water so hopefully the experts can offer something more substantial. Could it have been a cologne or perfume bottle?
I was thinking druggist vial, something used to hold small quantities in a druggist/apothecary practice. Really I have no clue[:(]

Here you go Melinda, The Bottle is legitimate. It is either German or Belgian in manufacture. Here are dug examples from Willies book..........

Here are Melinda's pictures enlarged. She was holding a kitten you know at the time she took the pictures that is why the pictures came out incorrectly sized...........[8D]
Look at that back yard lay-out a real Southern Bell designed this one.[;)]

2 Iron pontil marks turn up on European bottles as much as American made ones. In fact they can be found on old American-German made Colonial chestnut bottles from the mid to late 1700s not just Scroll flasks,Sodas, and Gothic Pickles from the mid 1800s.

Thank you Jim and thanks Steve for the info. I love the bottle but it is so delicate.
That is actually the front yard. My window opens on to the front porch....every Southern house should have a front porch with rockers and porch swings...and always facing east. When we moved in there was a 3 level Italianate fountain ...not really something that fits with an old farm cottage. Pulled the top levels off but couldn't move the heavy bottom part...so I just filled it with dirt and roses. We discovered more of the brick path under an inch or two of centipede grass.
