Ebayer "meantiques1" is currently selling a group of utility/blacking bottles on ebay that either he or someone else bought at the last Heckler Auction. The bottles were all listed as "REPAIRED" in the Heckler auction but the seller makes no mention of damage for any of the bottles at all. Some of us have written to him letting him know, I told him I would wait to see what he does before contacting Ebay, here are the bottles...

Several of those that he describes as good condition are either obviously chipped and poorly repaired, or, in the case of one square one, fairly badly cracked if my eye is correct. Damage obvious enough for a seller to not ignore easily.

I'll be interested to see what this seller's excuse is.

Jim,
I have bought about 8 items from him over the last year and never had a problem or felt cheated after receiving the glass. I am not saying you are not correct in your assertion. Which sale are these from in Hecklers? He does list the defects in each bottle but still rates them as good condition . His starting prices are low? [8|] Even the one with a crack in it. [] He does list the defects though. Just what is a good bottle to him is not to serious collectors. Could you post a link to the hecklers sale please thanks Steve. The only one I see that is repaired is this one. I am checking two pieces right now a Lacy salt and a historical flask and find no problems or repairs. It is ashamed if he is being deceptive on purpose he has had nome nice glass for bid the past year.

Jeff Noordsy says he lost his Maine Auctioneers license, if this is the kind of business he does it's not hard to see why...

I'll be interested to see what this seller's excuse is.

I asked the seller about the damage and he said he just listed the items quickly with the relist button and didnt pay attention to the condition.
Not really much of an excuse. He did post my question though so he isnt trying to hide the fact that its damaged on that one.
