but the real kicker is the buyer opened the case 1 day before the saw actually shows being delivered... That is enough evidence for me. Drive down to your post office and show them what has happened including the timeline. If they are unable to help you explain this same discrepancy to the local PD in Minnesota and file a theft of services claim. They probably have nothing better to do and this might be a nice challenge for them to find out what really happened. Adrian Monk and Colombo would have found out the buyer filed the missing package report the said package arrived. Maybe they have a local Minnesotan Colombo Monk working in the detective department .How can the guy file a missing item claim the day before he gets the item. It doesn't ad up Tom Good Luck

I think your idea of pursuing the route through the postmaster is the best first solution.
When the threat of federal mail fraud becomes apparent the saw may magically appear.
but time is not on your side.
