I picked up this bottle at an auction and was wondering if anybody has one and knows what is embossed on it under the lable. I thick on one side the embossing is Cleans Polishes Prevents Rust. On the other side FR------ N------. Not sure how many letters because it's under the lable.

interesting ...FREE SAMPLE maybe?
They seemed to have ripped off the 3-in-one oil slogan "Cleans Polishes Prevents Rust"

Looks like a similar label may have been wrapped around someone else's bottle...

Looks like that label wasn't meant for that bottle.. not saying it's out of context, just appalled at the overlap..!

at first glance I was thinking the name Nonpareil was simply the french for "without equal".
This was a fairly common phrase in 19th century advertising.
But looking again seeing the palm tree and fishing boats makes me think it might actually
be named after the city on Nonpareil in French Guyana.
How that relates to a furniture polish I'm not sure. Maybe its palm oil based or something?
