A "PATENT" TPM bottle with a Hoff label Matt? Would you happen to have an IMG? I'd love to see it for my research. That may certainly put some pre 1880 which is as early as I can really place any. Some of the info, including the dates for the JSP I have a questions about. Yes, I have seen the old ads such as this.

The bottles just seam much newer that 1870. Maybe it's just me

I'll have to check if I still have a photo of the patent one. Sold it long ago.
I may at least have a photo of one of the earlier Hoffs.

oddly enough I think I found it...
Its an early crude applied lip Patent with a Hoff label.

I just found another one on the net, labelled but not actually marked patent but that exact same size and proportions in amber and described as c1900 which looked about right. Didn't think I could copy it as it was somebodies website.

oh, the botanic druggist screw top? ya that was kind of weird to see.

I have a nice Hoff ad from an 1884 druggist catalog but I would have to scan it.
