I think it's authentic, a kind of bitters from TOC or more likely a bit later. I'll have to look it up.
Nice cobalt at any rate!

I think it's authentic also. That's not something that would be reproduced at all and certainly not to that detail. Nice looking find.

Hey Tony,

Might this have received a bit of "Nuking"?

I saw 2 references to it as a clear glass bottle.

This One just sold for $29.99.

"Up for auction is a super nice Bitters bottle. On one side it is embossed Deponirt/ Neuropin/ trademark registered and on the other side D. Jassnik Austria/ J.B. Scheuer Co./ Chicago U.S.A. In the front is a nice original label that is about 99% complete and the back one being 100% complete. A very clean original undug clear glass blown bottle made around the turn of the century. The bottle measures about 11 1/4" high. I just noticed on the bottom of the front label it reads Guaranteed by J.B.Scheuer Co. under the National pure food and drug act. which would date this around 1906-1910 era." From Worthlesspoint.

Matt is on to something here. I looked around a bit and clear seams the color. The first pic looks a good cobalt, the second looks more the deep violet of irradiation.
There must have been a ^&%# ton of manganese in that batch to turn it that dark.
It's still very nice IMO.
The stomach bitters as a before or after dinner cordial are not the bitters sought by bitters collectors so that drops interest dramatically.
