I was able to get out and dig for the first time in 2012. Hit the old dump in Rock Hill Ctiy dump, it always had some good TOC bottles. Got some of the same but did get 2 good ones for the collection. One was an emobossed Dr. Pepper local from 1923 in mint condition and also a WhiteHouse Flask that I have never dug before. In its day it sold for around 40 to 60 bucks. No 1800 stuff but today any dig is a good dig for me.

Hey Glenn, it's good to see that you're still digging!

I don't know why, but I've never dug a white house vinegar bottle of any variety, that I know of anyway. I wonder if it was more of a southern thing?

Nice D-Pep, they are always neat to find. Was it one you didn't have? Where's it from?

Hey Glenn,

Nice digs with the bride. I have a similar holed piece of slag glass that I believe was part of a Deco era standing lamp. Also found this:

I't"s good to hear from ya Plumbata, The White Hosue I think is some what a southern thing Plus the hole I have been digging is TOC some 1920"s so there is where you get the White House. The good ones still bring good money if ya selling. The D-PEP is a Charlotte NC where I was born, this was an embossed one so it is a good one. [:)]

The dr pepper looks to be raised wich makes it much harder to find and more desirable good find.

I dug two more of the Dr. PEP's that day that were embassed with some damage. That area of the dump must of used in 1923. When I go back I may hit that spot again to see if more pop up to share....
