Went out river diving today after two weeks straight of land detecting, figured all of the flooding in my area must have unearthed some goodies...five minutes into the dive and my hands, face and feet are numb! water temp of 45'F, six minutes in and my flag gets snagged on a tree branch and pops out of my salvage crate without me knowing. ten minutes later I check the crate and lo and behold there is no flag!
I pop to the surface and see the flag 100' downstream, I took off to get it and on the way found a large Case Gin in Amber, All of my others are Aqua or Dark Green. So losing the flag was good Karma. After getting the flag back to the crate and remounting it the hunt started in ernest. There were more broken embossed blobs and hutches than I have seen in years along with alot of busted black glass and stoneware. The next good find was a little Aqua bottle sticking out of the mud, after recovering it, it was embossed Florida Water, Lazell, Dalley & Co New York. It still had the cork and paper seal covering the cork. Ten minutes after surfacing the seal pealed off and the cork fell apart otherwise I would have an intact bottle with the contents! The rest of the finds were local deco sodas, doll parts and marbles and a busted med for guntherhess.

good to see your back . btw try wearing long underwear . [:D] . how do keep your head warm ?. brainfreeze without the slurpee . good looking gin bottle . it beats walking through the jungle in 85 weather using a machette to get along and come home with no bottles . hows your son doing on his diving? sam

Boy, I may have to take up diving. Wearing that black suit will not work though. Greenpeace will probably throw me back in everything I try to leave the water.

Hi Sam,

I was wearing my 7mil cold water wetsuit with a 5mil hood, gloves and steel toed logging boots, it was just colder than expected. My son has not started diving yet as he is still playing sports and hooked on girls. If he gives up either he will go get his cert, right now he is in no hurry. I scored some more sodas and will post them in a while, if you want any of them please pm me.

Hi madpaddla,

The one one the left is an embossed med with a hole in the base and the other is a huge clear master ink with the internal pour spout, also cracked on the base and base embossed with pat'd april 13 1875.

I will give you some close ups

It is the bottom of a two piece tramp insulator. You are missing the top half. Not worth much.
