This is a cobalt blue, 1/2 pint flask. I believe this has a picture of Washington on the front and a Sheath of Wheat on the back. I have included a picture. Any information is greatly appreciated.
VAFLASK...Welcome to the Forum...
You have any better pics, also one of the reverse...??
There was a Washington/Eagle qt. cobalt flask reproduced in the 30's, possibly in Czech. Looks similar to yours...
There are several original Washington/Sheaf of Rye flasks listed in American Bottles & Flasks & Their Ancestry....GI-57,58 and 59....at one time they were mistaken as being Taylor and not Washington...a sapphire blue is noted in the half pint, but no cobalts...Comparatively Scarce on all variants.
I will try to get better pics today and upload them. Not sure if this is cobalt or sapphire. It is a very dark blue. The lighter pictures were taken with a flash and the bottle appears lighter than it is.
