Found buried in yard, any ideas of age and use?

hard to pinpoint a year unless it has some date #'s on bottom that can be deciphered. Leon.

There are numbers, but are difficult to decipher. Hopefully they will become more visible after we are able to clean them up.

Looks very much like a vinegar bottle. The handle gives it the cruet feel. I have dug several in 1900s dumps and feel these would date from around 1930-1950.

Thanks! Based on the responses thus far seems like vinegar or maybe maple syrup. Does the fact that it isn’t a screw top reveal anything about the possible age?

Not really, looks like it would have taken a crown cap which more or less coincide with screw caps date-wise. It would be a weird thing to close a vinegar or syrup bottle with since neither is a product you use all at once, but I've seen crown top ketchup bottles as well so I guess they sometimes expected you to transfer the contents to some other container or reseal it with a cork.
