Glass Cone Shaped Ground Top w/Flower Design

Here is an item dug last summer, dont have a clue what it is. It is 3-1/2" tall with a ground top and some nice engraved flowers. Any Help?

It is thick heavy glass weighing in at 9-3/8 ounces, don't know if you saw the other pics of base I posted. I was thinking a matchstick holder, but it wouldn't hold many matches as the hole is 1". You got me.....I use it as a holder for an old handmade baseball.

I see the STAR OF DAVID on it ,which is a JEWISH SYMBOL. THINK along those lines[JEWISH]as it is probably a clue as to what it is. MAYBE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE "PASS OVER" ? JAMIE
