Has anyone ever seen a knife made out of glass? I found a broken one today, about 6" from the point back. The sharp part of the knife was rough glass while the rest was smooth. I will post pics tomorrow as I left it at my site.

They used to use glass knives to cut tomatoes, since the acid in the tomato would tarnish metal.

I have an antique bottle mag. from the 1970's that did a feature article on a "Glass Knife Collector". I'll see if I can dig it out and post it here.
