Connor, I couldn't agree more, I would never compare bottles from one place to those of another. I see bottles on various threads here that I would kill for ! (Well, almost!)
I assure you I don't "give" them away ! My prices are generally pretty low, although I am having to put them up a bit as my stocks start running down.

That cobalt to the left by itself looks interesting.

Thats a lot of bottles. Looks like some nice stuff too.

Always liked codd bottles since I dug one up years ago and said "wtf happened to this bottle?" Picked up dumpy seltzer like that last year, colors are very nice.
Why don't you invest in some shelving units to save some floor space and back aches?

@ Rockbot ~ thanks Tony. Actually the bottle you refer to is a modern wine bottle [:D] ! However these are pretty popular with people who just want some blue colour, so they sell quite well. (Who ever thought of marketing wine in blue bottles needed their heads read ! People still associate blue with medicine [:'(]).

Hey Travis; this is just temporary until the packing for the trip is done ! I do indeed have shelving units etc --- down in the cellar which I am lucky enough to have running off my garage. Here is an old shot of part of my garage :

There was an interesting thread earlier about bottles from construction sites. A few years back a huge multi-million $ sports centre was being built in a suburb of Cape Town. They were using heavy machinery to clear the ground and cut through a section of the old Rondebosch dump. Here's a shot of part of the excavating:

I was fortunate enough to get permission to dig and to wander round & collect. The workers soon got to know what I was looking for and they eagerly collected up for me, in return for a few $$[;)] :

The chap on the right here was the operator of the digging machine & he was a real star. While the truck was taking its load off, he would dig out a huge scoop full and then slowly let it trickle out by jerking the arm. I would then rush around madly, collecting bottles as they fell out ![:)][:)].
