Hello,
I picked this insulator up at a yard sale and started looking around the internet for some information about it. It has "BROOKFIELD" embossed on the front and a backwards number "1" on the top. I would consider it to be more of an emerald green than an olive green. I believe it to be a CD-152. I am just looking for any additional information, confirmation, or correction about what kind of insulator I think this is. Thanks for your help.

You are correct about it being a CD-152, nickname "Hoop Skirt". The color does appear to be Emerald Green, very pretty, better than some colors but not all that rare in that insulator. They usually bring $10 - $15 in near perfect condition. Actually, if it were Olive Green it would be worth a bit more even if not as pretty. I have several just like it around the property, I keep all I come across just because of the color. Jim

If a second opinion helps, I agree with Jim (Botlguy) on all counts.

This is a Western Union telegraph style, 1911-1922 or so. Your top-left picture shows some neat glass "folds" caused when the molten glass got a bit too cool and didn't flow into the mold very well. It adds some cool character to the insulator even if it doesn't affect value in most cases.
