help date Old Fitzgerald bottle

Okay so here's what I do know:

*The bottle is clear
*It has a smooth finish and seams up both sides
*It is a cork bottle
*No labels
*Embossed with the words "Old Fitzgerald" at top of bottle just below neck.
*Also embossed with "Federal law forbids sale or re-use of this bottle" on opposide side also just below the neck.
*Below that it says "Bottled at Distillery 16 Shively, KY"
*bottom of bottle has a symbol that looks like a circle inside a diamond and has the numbers D375

I am no collector. I was given this bottle and would just like to find out a little history on it. Thank you for any information you can give me.

Hi, I don't remember that coding system but I think the year preceded the mold number so in this case 1965. It could be the other way around though.

I just looked up the 'Federal Law' thing. I knew it started in 1935, but didn't realize it was required on bottles up until December of 1964.And, of course, I seriously doubt that anybody rushed right out and changed their molds the moment the law was repealed. Some manufacturers apparently still had it on their bottles well into the 70s.So I learned something from this post, as well. Thanks!
