I'm just leaving to run some errands and will be back in a few hours. In the meantime, check out this Graham Legacy from 1998. It is likely one of the best researched documents ever published about Graham Glass. For some reason not all of the information and photos appear, but that might just be on my end and not when you open it. Be sure to scroll back to the start of the Graham Glass chapter - and use the + at the top to enlarge it. Maybe someone can find a link to a better copy that has all the information and photos. See y'all later ...

"So, anyway ..."

1969 audio of Earl R. Dean telling the story about how he designed the iconic 1915 Hobble-skirt

I received my bottle today and after closely examining it came up with the following evaluation ...

1. Ice Blue
2. Blown in mold (BIM)
3. Thick seams that protrude slightly
4. Offset seams - almost an inch apart on the shoulder
5. Possibly applied finish (lip) not sure
6. No maker's mark
7. Blank base - no city or state
8. Several 'fisheye' pings
9. No chips or cracks
10. Wavy glass overall
11. Lots of bubbles
12. Overall condition - 7.5
13. Most likely manufacturer - Laurens Glass Works
14. Likely date of manufacture - circa 1917-1918 (Laurens started marking their bottles with LGW circa 1919)
15. Value in current condition - Hard to say - depends on buyer interest - $100 max - not for sale!
16. Regardless of who made it and when - highly unlikely a trial/test bottle
17. Possibly a second-year issue - 1917?

@SODABOB ....you had me at ICE BLUE!!!!!, this is my Canadian version....or is it???..all have surface in the Toronto area. We never have come to a conclusion, but rest assured the molds were altered in Canada and the Patent date removed, not sure why they did that.
I put a value of at least 200 on it. Same thing no makers mark...only a mold # 1 near the heal.

Nice, The Coca Cola Script lettering looks a little prehistoric/amateurish compared the to smoother finer looking American Made Bottles? LEON.

Thanks Leon! Yes you are correct!....and it's evident on all these early Canadian hobble skirts. Searching any American bottle brings up nothing comparable, so it is a possibility the molds were made in Canada.

Not only does this Coke have the offset seam at top as mentioned before, BUT, It's actually got 2 Seams on each side, or 4 seams total. LEON.
