Its been a while since Hunter 2k and I have thrown some dirt (mud) and even longer since I have graiced the forumIn fact this will be my first post on the new siteNot a big fan of change but here it goesMade plans to meet Dennis at 5pm at our usual spot. After an uneventful short walk in we settled into our previous holes and began to digThe last time we were there I remember the mud was frozen and the ground water was flowing pretty fast out of any hole you were lucky enough to get started But I must say it was probably the best dig Ive had in a whileFirst pic is a PHILLIPS EMULSION COD-LIVER OIL NEW YORK a green WHITTEMORE from BOSTON U.S.A a first for me in that hue and a JSP in a lighter shade Im pretty sure

Welcome back, and thank you for a taking a pic! The Phillips is nice, here's one on EBAYI love the color of JSP Monogram bottles, varying from aqua, green, and blue colors. This stands for Joseph S Pedersen who took over the company from Leopold Hoff in 1868. The following year Tarrant & Co took over the company from Pedersen but his monogram remained for quite a long time. You will see early variants with the applied top and later tooled tops as well. I'm interested in the horsehead whiskey.

A SHOOPS FAMILY MED in aqua out of Racine Wisconsin that I have never seen before On a sad note my first bottle I pulled out was the taller square Dr Shoops version and I was thrilled with that and thought it was funny to dig 2 versions from same hole But wasn't to be when I pulled it out of the bucket I found it had a big ole hole on the shoulderSecond bottle is the ever present JOHNSONS ANODYNE LINEMENT although much cleaner than usual I think that brings me up to twenty something on thoseand then a KILMERS SAMPLELast bottle in photo is an B. PANISH soda from 33 EAST BROADWAY-NEW YORK

The Dr. Shoops are pretty common in some places and come in a few different sizes and variants. It's a shame the taller one was broke. The Johnson's Liniment and Kilmer's Sample are also common, but come in many different versions and are fun to collect. Can't find much about the B. Panish Blob Top Soda,The Company would have been located somewhere around HERE

Hi 2findformeI guess that answers a question ive hadIt seems there are 2 camps on this bottle The first one is that the bottle held a type of peppersauce I had that conversation last week with someone about my other JSP bottles that I haveThen theres the malt beverage believers who if the the company was bought from HOFF would be in the correct campThanks for the info

The Hudnut is a perfume bottle, the McGee's is a KILLER bottle, can't find anything on it.A lot of sweet finds on your dig, always nice when you find a few local bottles.Keep up the good work!

I may be wrong, but I think it would be more of a soda malt than a peppersauce.Peppersauce bottles usually look more like this:
