Thanks for the help but it is hard to read but i know it is not js its ac or ag bottom says the letters I M B if thats what your asking but why on back would it say this bottle not to be sold. thanks it waas helpfull

Hey Jolt, You're right. On 2nd look at the stoneware example that John posted, it does appear to be "A.G. Vosburgh." Are you taking photos with your computer? I still can't see that base mark worth beans... The "This Bottle Not to be Sold," or similar language, appeared on many bottles of the time. The Bottler owned the bottles. The customer was purchasing the contents. The bottles were to be returned to the bottler, to be washed and refilled. The bottler had purchased the bottles, at significant cost, from the glass maker, and needed, and expected to get many usage cycles from it.

Don't know what a base is is it the bottom of bottle front back top here are some pictures

If the answer you are looking for is "what is that bottle worth?" my best guess would be about ten bucks. Aqua blob top beers from NY are pretty common.

Low demand. Kind of sad considering the extensive population of NY. New York collectors don't take to these bottles very well. Value is subjective anyway. If two people wanted it... who knows. Need to find a family connection for it.
