That's a nice Dyottville squat. The chip doesn't look too bad, it could be repaired nicely with colored resin. I have done this, it takes some time but is well worth it. It would always be a repaired piece, but that's better than a damaged one for display.

I am by no means an expert on squats, but I do know that is a decent bottle. It is probably from the early 1850s. The base is iron-pontiled, and appears to still have nice, strong iron residue. ~Jim
