Of all the things I've dug up. This has got to be up there with the best. At the base of a large tree, 16" deep! I knew it wasn't a rock when I felt that smoothness on my probe. Will the owner please send me an email. I need to know where you have and haven't dug.[:D]

They sell shovels like that nowadays as used military equipment. Maybe whosever it was was in the service and brought it home with him...
