I picked these two up with some other bottles from the estate of a old bottle collector . He had collected years ago and had some nice stuff that his family sold off. Among them was these two I bought The first is a big Baltimore druggist bottle that I found some old posts on. I think it is fairly scarce and I am keeping it as it was found under a old log cabin that served as a stage stop here around the Civil War. The second is the one I know nothing about. It is a true red glass bottle not red amber but actual red glass. It is sealed and it has Julius Hospital Wurzburg on it which would be I think German. It also has I guess their state seal etc on it. It is blown and the top ring is the layed on type I can see where it was put together. I think a early bottle by the layed on ring etc. But I can find no info on it at all . I always assumed red glass was valuable as it is very uncommon but I have no idea as to rare etc. Any help on it would be great thanks for looking and any help in advance. dm

Julius Hospital Wurzburg

I have a feeling it's a souvenir from the 20th century, but the place has been there for centuries.. not familiar enough with bottles to say this type of bottle was around for that long, but I don't know.. very cool, nevertheless..

It's been around Chuck but I think your right being it's in English.
Just about anything ruby is worth more than $5. You'd probably have to check ebay.de and sprechen sie Douche for value. I suspect the color would do well here though, maybe more-so if they're common overseas but rare here.
Yours has a name I found and the name is Bocksbeutel. Those pictured seam to have more of a canteen shape than chestnut like yours.

Oh, WWI probably put a damper on Germany's relationship with the English speaking world so my dates may be off a smidge.
