My name is Luke Green and I found this website and was wondering if someone might be able to help me. I found this bottle and I am looking to find out where it came from and what product was in the bottle in the first place.

Here are some marks on the bottle that might help.

It has 80OZS at the bottom front of the bottle.

On the underside of the bottle it has a number of 54508

It also has a very faint letter that looks like "L" and another that looks like an "A" or a triangle?

It also had a small metal ring that would have been attached to the metal screw top. ( I have since removed that ring)

My girlfriend had the exact same bottle as her childhood piggy bank but her bottle was a clear green color.

Any help would be amazing because I'm looking to get my hands on more of these if I can find out where they came from.

Looks to be a table wine bottle similar to what you would buy Carlos Rossi in... You could get more of them full and empty them yourself, or find them at flea markets I'm sure. Could date to as far back as the 1960's...

Well baloogous, There is little doubt that you bottle is a nice bottle for table use. But in reality it is not one that will give you much increase in value as a collectible bottle. The finish is a CT {continuous thread) with a transfer bead that held the bottle in the final blow mold. This tells me it is an ABM (Automatic Bottle Machine) product. It does have an interesting bearing surface pattern on the bottom contact area. There are thousands of bottle collectors and all of us get interested in different bottles and applications of different manufacturing histories. I specialize in special markings and characteristics that tell me when and how they were made.
Any way welcome to the FORUM and realize that we are all here to help each other. RED Matthews
