I found this bottle in south Alabama and would like any info that might help identify it. It appears to be a wine bottle with a punt in the bottom. It has visible side seams with bricks and a fireplace embossed on it. On the bottom is embossed "Federal law prohits sale or reuse of this bottle". Any help will be appreciated.

Welcome, Terry!
What you have there is a liquor bottle.. "Federal law forbids..." was written on all liquor bottles made between 1933 and 1964.
I like the fireplace design!

Thanks for the info. Does the punt indicate that it is specifically a wine bottle?

Actually, I'm pretty sure it was not wine, but hard liquor, like whiskey or rum or something.. the kick-up is just for decoration on this bottle..

I think it might be a Brandy or Cognac, kick up was common with them. Then again, it may have been to make the bottle look bigger and the volume less.
I agree with liking the design. The age is on mark also.
