Yea they all have value, how much depends on supply and demand. Does the jars have a complete correct closure? The A. Kline has value, but they are pretty common and fit a number of jars. $5 - 10 is my guess but I'm out of touch. Jim

Would you happen to have a picture of the jar? I would like to take a look at it..... Is that the correct name of the jar? Maybe The Hero Improved or just Hero Improved...maybe I am wrong..LOL Also, I am positive none of the Hero jars took the A.Kline stopper... in fact, some of the Hero jars have a pretty rare closure on them the was patented by T. Otterson in 1862, it is a two piece unlined tin lid. The patent date is in a circle in the center of the unlined insert. That is why I was asking about the picture? Most however have a glass insert and screwband, the inserts are usually the same type found on GEM jars..... But still, I would like to see a picture of that jar. Here is a couple pictures of what the insert looks like. This is a hg in my collection...and believe me thattwo piece insert is a tough one to locate. David

I was thinking a bit, and the IMPROVED HERO may have a different style glass insert other than the GEM style I mentioned above.... I only mentioned the tin two piece because I have seen one before with that style on an IMPROVED HERO. David

The jar reads THE HERO IMPROVED. The lid we found was in the privy with the jar . I didn't think it went with the hero. Both the jar and lid are listed on ebay now. Thanks Don
