Hi All,
I was wondering if anyone knows what this bottle was used for? It has a removable tip on the end of the top. It is embossed W. T. CO U.S.A.

Thank you!

Margaret

I would say some kind of powder, probably tooth powder or talcum powder.

I think the W T is Whithall an Tatum. They made bottles in New Jersey I think. I have a couple of medicine bottles with WT on them. I agree that it's probably a tooth powder bottle.
Nice.

It's hard to tell but it looks like the top doesn't fit all the way down onto the shoulder, doesn't engage all the threads. Certainly I could be mistaken. They do look to both be of the same vintage.

BTW, FYI, the correct name for W-T is WHITALL - TATUM, no second "H".

Well,,,,,,, color me wrong! I also thought something like tooth powder for the top but didn't think the bottle accepted the top correctly. Terrific picture Steven. My Wife would like one of those for our guest bathroom decor.
