Is this a pontil mark?

This may be the first pontil I ever dug. However, it is broken. I really have limited knowledge on how to I.D. these, and how to guess its age.

Can you guys help me out? What do you think? Pontil mark?

A few photos to follow, both before and after rinsing it out.

Heck yeah, Union! Like Matt said. Where they used a blowpipe for a pontil rod.
