Is this Ink english or american made ?

Found this guy in the pit I dug Thursday. Was wondering is it English or American made ? There is no embossing of any kind, and the lip is finished not sheared. Has a nice pontil scar on bottom. Finally rough guesstimate of value ?

Concur on value and origin. Maybe worth $10 to $20 more cleaned up. Would have had a label, probably for a local product. Pity it didn't still have it's Lancaster PA label, now THAT would have been something...
