It's been awhile...

Hey guys! It's been quite some time since I've posted any of my finds on here probably because I don't get out digging much anymore. But anyways I recently took a trip out to Montana and got to do a little bottle digging! I didn't come back with much just a few keepsakes. I found all these in an old mining camp up in the mountains. The tall blob doesn't have any embossing on it other than R&CO on the bottom. The two matching little ones I believe were sample whiskeys. They say Mount Vernon Pure Rye Whiskey. Anyone have any info on those? I also found an opium bottle. I'm pretty sure that's what it was anyways.

hi bryan, glad your back. i think i got your bottle with a lable. mt. vernon whiskey, baltimore md. got a pic of frt and back. is there a bottle maker on the base? hope you can see the pic. rhona

I really like those Mt. Vernon Sample Whiskey's, lots of embossing on the one's I found.

Thanks for the replies everyone! Rhona, that sure is a nice bottle you have. I wish mine had the label I'm pretty sure they are identical. It's hard to make it out but the bottom looks like it says "patent march 25th 1892."

They are neat little bottles that's for sure! I do believe I have seen the larger versions on ebay if I remember correctly.

I have some pictures of the area I found the bottles in I'm trying to locate the picture disc they are on hmm...
