Some people trout fish and turkey hunt. I have a great spot to flyfish for trout and hunt bottles. It is an old railroad town with old trash dump all over the place, 30's, 40's and newer, it should also have older stuff, but haven't hit it yet. . I spent four hours there today and proball spent 3/4 of it hunting bottles. I found a ton of sodas from the 40's; Cokes, suncrest orange (ACL), MilKay (ACL), and a new one for me; Bluestone Beverages, two embossed and two ACl's. This picture is the most curious one. It has a face which appears to be a black man. No info on bottom other than design patent applied for. 4 1/2 inches tall and it does have some damage on base, but will look great on the shelf. Any info on this, don;t care about values, always looking for contents, brand name , age, etc.

Answered part of my own question.
Patent number was on the jar, so hit the Google patent search and found it. filed for in 1938 but no indication of contents or product name.

As Mr.Fred stated, it was used as a mustard jar. I had several of them with lids, way back when. I can't see them as even near the $25 mark. They are nice additions, but not for that much money.

In my area they have been rather common jars over the years , but these days with everything drying up around the country , I would say they are not so common anymore , especially if they have the original lid on them . The most I ever got out of one was fifteen dollars with the original cap on it . To me that would be a fair price for one of them .
