Hey Steve,

Thanks for creating This Jenny thread. Particularly well timed, in light of current discussions. Very comprehensive and well flowing presentation, sir.

I'm struck by the eggshapedness of the Huffsey mould and it's smooth sides, when compared to the ribbed Whitney, Ravenna and the somewhat softer ribs of Fislerville. Begs the question, which came first the ribs or the egg?

So here is a question...
Among the 4 calabash flasks I own there are 3 different lip types: double collar, tapered lip, and a tapered lip with a collar at the base of the lip.
Were the lip treatments dependent on the glasshouse, preference of the glass blower, or date?

I would say the straight LTC type taper tops were the earliest in the 1851 to 1860 period.Between 1860 and 1870 it was really a little of everything you stated and asked Melinda, personal preference I guess . Nice addition by the way you have the Milfora a tough one to find. It doesn't come up that often.
