No markings on the lid unless they are under the dirt. I think that the hinged top is original.

One reason I asked is I'm wondering what was in it. It says 200 days treatment and every tablet marked so I'm wondering if they were wide mouth bottles, jars or what. How many containers were in the box, how big were the tablets, how many per day do you take.I'm sure the whole 200 days didn't mean the whole box full for $1.[]

There is the remains of a cloth liner in one corner of the box as well as nails that would have held it in place. Other than that, the inside is empty. I did find some information with Google. The tablets were in tin boxes and the company was in business just after 1900.
