If you collect demis and have some sitting around I would leave it on for contrast. You could show your demis bare and that one as an example of the wicker.

Take it off...take it all off! I've see a few squats with wicker - no big deal. That wasn't meant to be on there, just some craft job of 100 years ago. If you want one to leave the wicker on get a big aqua or green one that you know has no embossing.
