I have to leave, but I have a bucket of bottles and a good starter hole going. I'll post the pics when I get this stuff cleaned up. Here is the hole after 2 hours of digging. Not bad for a 56 year old.
Yes Julie and Joel, That is some bad stuff. Right now it's in the dormant state and only the vines are showing. Come spring all you will be able to see is leaves covering everything. And I don't walk where I can't see the ground in the summer.
The dump is appearing to be toc to twenties. I'll try to get some pics posted tommorow.
It must be nice to not have to use a pick axe to get through the icy dirt! When I retire someday I'm gonna buy a dumpsite down south to dig in the winters.
Come on down Zane, There's plenty of dumps to dig and you can dig year round. We just don't have the abundance of great bottles like you guys up North do. They recycled everything to the point of no use down here. That great 1860's stuff is hard to locate.
