OK, here's another bottle I've been working on cleaning. Sorry for the gunk in it in the pictures. Nasty stuff in there that I can't get out!
This bottle is sorta pale greenish colour and 12 inches high. It has no seams on it that I can find.
There is a huge bubble in the neck that swirls a bit to the left. (see pic 2)
The bottom of the bottle is the most fascinating thing to me. It is really kicked up in there, and there is a huge blob of glass in the middle. (see pics 3 & 4)
The kick up is just over 2 inches.
Lip kinda messy too. See pic 5.
Any idea on age or use for this one? (or value?) I have another one similar but it's even dirtier inside.
Thanks!
Claire

This one is a wine bottle. It probably dates to the same time frame as your case gin, but lacks that 'special something' which collectors are after.. [;)]

Nice photography, Claire!

Darn, I thought this one was a lot newer than the dark green one! Foiled again! Ah well, I think the kick up is cool looking, so I will keep it anyway! [:)]

This bottle is a turn mold bottle. When the glass was still liquidly, it was spun in the mold to give it a smoother appearance. This process was done C 1880s. It was done to wine bottles and other cylindrical bottles.
