I was able to add this local Jessups, Maryland milk bottle to my collection recently. The town is now just called Jessup with no "S" on the end. I am not sure when the name change took place either. This town is only a few towns over from Ellicott City so it is very local. It is a 1942 half pint example. It is embossed Walnut Hill Dairy / F.B. Rogers / Jessups, MD.

Got the whole set now. Notice the pint and quart were made with the "Dacro" style tops.

Another great addition Henry....

The name of "Jessup" is spelled with an "o" and with a "u" in railroad records until 1854. After this time, the "u" in the name was consistently used, suggesting the error in spelling was noted and corrected. In fact, the town name of "Jessup" was only changed from "Jessups" in 1963.
