Here is another very rare and very old 1825 to 1835 glass Canadian Mountie type hat popular in Ohio and other parts of the mid west in the early to mid 1800s.This hat was purchased from an auctioneer in Ohio.It is also very small in size making it quite a bit scarcer then a larger counterpart. The hat is a very pale aqua in color almost clear and did not use a bottle mold to attain the shape as it is free blown. The round style of hat points to a very Germanic style introduced to the mid westerner gentleman. The hat is tiny at just under two inches in length an inch and a half wide and an inch and a half tall.It has a very rough pontil mark and has some debris in the glass indicative of the end of day run.
