Hey Leon,

What area did you go to? You find anything great? I checked out a Lumber Camp on my friends hunting property that belongs to his hunting club. All of the buildings were gone, but there were a lot of relics still in the ground. We only spent a couple of hours there poking around. His club wasn't interested in letting an out sider dig on the site. I haven't been back.

Both of my Ghost towns were just north of Higgins/Houghton lake area. Did'nt find much but they need further inspection. Don't think any of them were on any hunting grounds. I'm wondering if any old cans could be found on that hunt club location you mentioned?

Brian,

I sent you a PM. I've been to one up in the Grayling area. I haven't much success exploring lumber camp sites in northwest L.P. but they are fun exploring . Haven't been able to find the dump or outhouse pit. A lot of them were disturbed during the '30s when the CCC planted pine trees on the abandoned cutover timber lands.
