As I get older I have come to realize that I know less about everything and more about nothing. That being said, the only milk glass example which consistently surfaces with that crown stopper would be the two of the three Sanitol tooth powder variants, one as pictured on left. I have seen them misplaced on a run of Owls and on countless other bottles as well. People re-purpose items out of necessity and convenience; always did and always will; I am reasonably certain that it was done with your bottle and or stopper as well.
Additionally, when one refers to "Empress Josephine", they are more likely than not referring to Napoleon's first wife. The milk glass crown stopper does not remotely resemble her Tiara. The stopper does though bear a remarkable resemblance to an English Royal Crown, but what do I know?
Hope I have offered some food for thought.
