Need info for a N.Y. pontiled soda

I dug this bottle a long time ago in the Boston area. I just cleaned it.
Don't know anything about it.
If anyone knows about this squat soda, please post a reply.
An aqua taper top, iron pontiled.
Front embossed John Cable 1848
Rear enbossed J C.

P.S. Was told that it came from N.Y, but I don't think that it did.

Just a hunch, but I would date that bottle to circa 1848. Hope that helps.

Thats probably is a good guess about the date.
This must be a rare bottle because no else knows anything about it.

Its a nice bottle, but I have never been able to find anyone who knew anything about it.
I haven't seen another one like it. I can't believe that its rare.
The N.Y. comment was a guess by someone.
If nobody knows about it on this forum, I guess I'll try the auction houses and see if they know anything about it.
