Just purchase a couple of bottles for my collection. The large bottle is super Big and super crude. Does anyone know the approximate time period when this type bottle was made? Also was it made in the US and what did they hold? The next bottle is super small. I've always wanted one of these OP turlington bottles with a flared lip. Most I have come accross in the past had lip damage so when I saw this one I didn't hesitate and bought it for my collection. I know these bottles were made through out the years. This one is embossed ROBt TURLI NGTON FORHIS VENTED BALSOM OF LIFE, BY THE KINGS ROYALE PATENT GRANt EDTO, LONDON, JAN ( Y is above N in JAN ) 26,1754. Can the age be determind by the embossing? Any guess what time period this one was made?

Am I getting deja-vu? or did I just see this the other day?
It's still nice! I don't know where it was made but it was more than likely used for wine..

Ya I listed the large one a few days ago in another catagory and didn't get much info on it. So I decided to list it again with another new pick up and see what happens. I know they don't turn up very often maybe thats why Im not getting much info on it. I did think that this large bottle would be a piece of cake to determine the age but maybe I was wrong.

Yeah, age is gonna be tough to figure.. sometime during the 1800's I imagine.. all I can say for sure is it's got great color and texture.. and that no grape-growin, wine-makin' fool's household would be complete without something like that.. perfect size and shape for fermentation.
