I have a circa 1850 privy in my sights for today - probably more then one pit I bet as well. I will post photos later today.

May the bottle gods shower you with bottles.........well maybe they should just lay them on the ground for you. Showered with them would probable hurt.

Today was not the day......

Darnittttttt! Another real promising site with little to show for it. I think we found a privy but it was only about 3' deep. There were many old septic lines running through the lot that made probing very difficult - either we missed the main attraction or it was a dud to begin with. Did find some yelloware shards, stoneware shards, small piece of a scroll flask, ground top mason jar pieces, and these were the only two keepers:

Real nice emerald green bottle that would have had a nice stopper and a pretty common BELL-ANS vial.
