Hi Folks –
I picked up a few cordial glasses at an antique store last week and was wondering if anyone might have some information about them. They are made of clear glass, stand just under four inches tall and would hold a chicken egg quite nicely. On one side they are embossed OKO CORDIAL – VERY RERFRESHING and the other side reads DRINK OKO – IT ENRICHES THE BLOOD. The reference to enriching the blood made me think they must have some age to them, it sounds something along the line of the early Moxie claims. I did a Google search and found a few of these glasses on on-line auctions (going for $40 +) and one 1898 newspaper that mentioned OKO. I am curious as to where and when this product was available. It seems that there should be bottles out there as well for OKO – anyone know about this?
Thanks - Sam
