I recently aquired an old bottle that my father found a long time ago and was wondering if anyone here can help me identify it.

Have a little more time now and got it out of its box to get some better pics and its measurements.

If anyone knows i would also like to know its aprox, worth as well.

It is 11.5 in tall, 7 in wide and 4.5 inches thick.

Its a 4 piece mold with what looks to me like a glass tipped pontil scar. The neck looks stretched but not twisted much. The 2 in the circle is the only lettering on it.

I remember my father telling me that he had found out that it was origionaly supposed to be used for carring some sort of acid but I dont know where he found that out from.

Looks like a mid 1800’s kidney three piece mold demijohn.

The images dont show it real well but its definately a 4 pc mold. the verticle seams run from the neck to the base crossing the horizontal seam. the dont line up perfectly at the horizontal seam, maby 1/16 inch off.

I cant seem to find much about 4 pc mold bottles, I thought it might help to identify its manufacturer or manufacture date a little better. I have only been able to find one small reference to a soda company and liquor company that used a 4pc between 1870s and 1910s but this is not like anything they used.
