Sorry troops, I'm new to this, please bear with me.

Several years back, my father "liberated" a small brown bottle from the forests of the Solomon Islands. He had been wandering through with a local person, looking at all the old war plane wrecks littered about the forests there.

My question .... is this bottle of any notable rarity?

We were told it was a Saki bottle, but I have not been able to verify this, and my google searches seem to be going nowhere.

The name on the side is Wakamoto, and has the following on its base

Waga

Doing a search on the net it seems that it was a pharmaceutical company from Japan established in 1938.

Check under WAKAMOTO PHARMACEUTICAL.

I believe your bottle held pills that may have been antibiotics used during WWII, instead of sake.

Most definitely not a sake bottle, in my opinion. I've dug/seen ceramic and glass sake containers; nothing like it. Think Woody's on the right track.
