marble looks to be a blue benington. salt glazed fired clay from what i read in books. just depends on the collector to how much it's worth. the dimples on the face of them is caused by touching each other in the funance while being fired thus the unfired spots on the surface. price ranges in mint condition 1/2 or less-.25,9/16 to 11/16-.30, 3/4 to 1in-1.00, 1 1/8 to 1 1/2-10.00. 1 5/8 to1 7/8-25.00, 2in to rare to value. these values are for blue and brown bennington's. Green bennington's have a multiple of 2x to 4x. fancy bennington's have a multiple of 5x to 10x. Pink, gray, or black have a mutiple of 10x to 25x. this info. came from Marbles Identification and price guide 2002 revised and expanded 4th edition by Robert Block. Hope this helps. blocks prices are reasonable i use his book often. bennington is a term given to the marbles because the glaze resembles bennington pottery glaze. most all of them were made in germany and imported. i have a few gallon jugs of these type that i have picked off the ground over the years.
