I found this today, and I thinks it's pretty old. Other than some vertical hairlines around the top it's perfect, and it's very crude and hand-made looking. Any ideas about age/value of something like this?

Thanks,
Sean

Just a shot in the dark, but I'd guess that it is a TOC root beer mug. Those blue lines are reminiscent of Buckeye Root Beer mugs (and probably plenty more), but the former do not fetch much money it seems. From the little i've seen you would be lucky to get more than 15 for it, but hopefully someone more experienced than I can offer you their superior opinion.

edit - since it is crude looking (and the mugs i've seen weren't) it might be a bit older and more desirable, but for now I'll stick with my first guess. It is an attractive mug and would make a great pencil holder if nothing else.

Thanks Plumbata, I appreciate hearing what you think. I almost never sell anything anyway; it all goes into my cabinets of river junk even if it's worth something. I just like to know though so that someday when some poor sap inherits all this crap they might have some idea of what's worth something and what can be tossed :)
