No research done on this one. Not shure how old or rare, but I dug up two in my latest dig. Any ideas?

Nice find! These are called boat inks, they're British and date to around the turn of the 20th century. They're pretty common bottles unfortunately - I remember them as being staples of the $5 box when I lived on the west coast - but they're still fun to find and not as easy to find as you'd think they should be considering how common they are.

Thanks for the info! I dug up a ton of pieces in the last dump I dug so I was quite curious. I will remember that now!

yup....not terribly rare but many of them are disappearing as they do break easily. We don`t see many dug here in Canada but they are rife with them overseas. Personally, I collected a lot of those in different shapes - I just love the sheared lip!
