Got out for some digging in this dump Rick is in on with me. I have been slow at work lately so I took advantage of a rare 60 degree Nov. day in New York. I had a good fealing bushwacking in, with the Wildlife making noise all around. I was alone, so there would be no compitition for the find of the day today. It turned out to be a good day. Even had to leave a few behind till the next trip in. (SOON). This is a group shot straight out of my pack.

Nice Quart Ground Top Fruit Jar, Big ole Sun on the front, and J. P. Barstow on the base.

Obviously this was my find of the day. I uncovered it from the side without the handle. I could see the cobalt lettering, but untill you have the handle exposed you dont have it. I picked like an archioligist aound it ever so gently and found the handle. With a little more work I lifted this killer out. Its got a 1 stamped in the shoulder, and has a nice crude cobalt stenil. M. Sheehan / 353 River St. Troy N.Y. We have dug about a dozen Jugs in this dump. Most were wounded. A few were mint. I also left behind a I gallon Salzman Purity Above All in the green lettering instead of the normal black.
This Jug is flawless. I need to work at the light rust spots some. but no hairlines, or chips. Its solid.

This nice Pint Flask I was really hoping to be embossed. A rare Troy Flask that was prevoisly unknown has come from here. This one is embossed on the shoulder Trademark Registered, Full Measure in a banner, Pint. Interesting though the base is embossed A. G. S. Co. Anybody know what that stands for. Then, I couldnt resist carrying out this really early blown in mold, cornflower blue Phillips Milk Of Magnesia. Its a nice early crude one with a nice crude look to it. Pat. date on the lower front of 1873. Big strap sides. Then a fairly commen Pony Beer from Troy, Fitzgerald Bros. Troy N.Y.

This was an interesting Insulator to find. My buddy says he has dug them before. I dont recall having seen it. Embossed on the shoulder W. Brookfeild, 44 Cliff St. N.Y. An Insulator with a street address? Then a Cobalt Acker;s English Remedy. I dug A 6.5" version of this a few weeks ago. I guess its quite rare. I could throw a pic. of that up if anyone wants to see it. Nice Cobalt recessed Panel.

You notice how the Close - up of the Jug jumped right to it after I had cleaned it? Well here it is still dirty, as it came home. I will try to get some pics after these are washed but is may be a few days. You could see the jug is washed lightly.

Great finds there. The Sun is a great jar. I don't have a Red Book but I'd say it's way more than a hundred. Love the Jug also. Looks like you're in a great site. Can't wait to see more.
