Onion/Squat Bottle ????????

Something my dad found in Panama Canal Zone in the late 1960's. The bottle is aqua in color, stands just about 6 3/4" tall, almost 4 1/2" wide. The glass has many bubbles and because of the pontil scar the bottle does not sit flat. The glass also has light ribs running down from the middle of the neck. The most interesting question deals with what looks like a snake wrapped around the bottom of the neck.

Your bottle certainly has some stylistic characteristics of "Persian bottles." These were made in Iran (pre-revolution) and imported as art glass.
